Greater.Earth and EarthSeeds at the Venice Art Biennale 2017

The Greater.Earth art intervention has been included in the  "Personal Structures - Open Borders" exhibition during the 2017 Venice Art Biennale curated by the Global Art Affairs Foundation (GAAF). Since 2011 GAAF and the European Cultural Centre have organized collateral events as part of the Venice Biennale in the areas of art and architecture. The exhibition is taking place in Palazzo Bembo near the Rialto bridge.

 

 

The two-room exhibition in Venice is an interactive outpost of the project with a direct connection to the Greater.Earth space station where I am interacting with the visitors to the exhibition via the Internet.

The installation is designed to match the architectural environment of the Greater.Earth space station in Earth orbit. In the second room, an EarthSeeds installation has been created that symbolically relates to the idea of sending EarthSeeds to an extraterrestrial environment and beginning the process of terraforming.

It is expected that over 300,000 people will visit the exhibition.
